about

Wahever Records in association with Afridada Recordings present a selection of tracks by various artists recorded at the Loropeni Djoro festival, an annual cultural event in Burkina Faso.

The festival showcases music and traditional dances from the Lobi homeland, which spans from the south of Burkina Faso to the north east of Ghana and north Ivory Cost.

Every year they invite artists for cultural exchange and performances.

It is organised by the A.C.P.L (association culturelle du pays Lobi) and it's president Pale Sanson Clovis.

They created the first edition in 2013 with Clément Palé and Peter Soldan from Afridada, a mobile recording studio rolling through west Africa on 2 wheels.

Loropeni is also known for its 16th century ruins, notably a wall protecting the village from enslavement persecution, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

All profits will go to the A.C.P.L
